It is a matter of immense pleasure for me to be a part of the Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University team as its I/c Vice Chancellor. I take this opportunity to welcome the students, joining the university in undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes. We let them feel that they are in the safe hands of their own family, they are just moving away from one family fold to another. Their teachers, seniors and peers, all form an extended family from whom they can look up for any guidance, support and help to move ahead in life as professionals in the study programmes they have opted.

A strong believer and practitioner of the dictum “Knowledge is Power”, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University has been on the path of delivering quality education by developing the young human resources with ethical and moral values, while boosting their leadership qualities, research culture and innovative skills. The University marches ahead to attain its mission through a goal of blending contemporary knowledge with skills and values in true spirit to groom high caliber thinkers; morally upright and physically sound citizenry inspired with proactive approach to take up challenges confronting the present society and prove productive individuals in ever changing knowledge society. The core objective is to work for the upliftment of the humanity at large.

For the young students studying in various government and self financed institutions, I would like to say that the world awaits you to know what steps will you choose. This is the time to discover your life’s destiny, so be adventurous, be spontaneous and dare to be different in the world. Live the dream, follow your heart and ‘view this moment as moving from a protected environment to an environment where you have to learn and listen because your whole world is going to be learning and listening. Your Success is going to be your humility.

Never ever forget the millions looking at you with hope. Spare a thought for those, not as privileged as you, to have been graduated from an elite institution. You must thank your parents, who toiled so hard to make you what you are today. You must thank God for giving you the opportunity to be in a better place.
